Vocabulary
Place Value - position of a digit in a number that tells the value of the digit
Millions - located to the left of the hundred thousands place
Period - in a number this a group of three digit that are separated by commas/three place values
expanded form - a number written as a sum of the whole number (342= 300+40+2)
greater than - symbol to indicate the first number in an expression is larger (78>54)
less than- symbol to indicate the first number in an expression is smaller (54<78)
rounding - looking at a place value and the number to the right to round
conjecture - a statement believed to be true
